From floorboards and parquet to reclaimed materials, we can work with new and old floorings in oak, maple, cherry, walnut, ash, mahogany, bamboo and more.
Whether in a domestic or commercial environment, wood floors are susceptible to becoming warn, damaged, scratched and dull over time. In some cases, there may also be dents and burn marks from coal fires, scuff marks, stains from spillages, and erosion to the finishing (lacquer, varnish, oil, etc.). Without adequate care, wood floors can quickly deteriorate and become damaged.
At Excellence Floorcare, we are trained to restore all types of wood floors in your home or business. Our team are qualified to FITA (Floor Industry Training Association) standards and we are also members of NCCA (National Carpet Cleaners Association) and accredited by the Government ‘TrustMark’ Standard.
Our Method
Firstly, we will conduct an initial survey of the floor completely free of charge and with no obligation. This enables us to inspect the quality of the material and judge whether it is suitable for sanding. We may then conduct a small sanding test for further information.
We use various types of sanding machinery depending on the material and condition of the flooring, including belt and edge sanders. Health and safety are a key priority throughout the process, with our teams taking every necessary precaution to ensure dust is kept to a minimum with an efficient dust extraction system.
The next stage is to apply a high-quality clear lacquer, which will highlight the beauty of the wood as well as protect it. Alternative finishes include using oil, wax, stains, or paint. We always work closely with our clients to ensure that their desired aesthetic is achieved.
